As 2025 comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to thank you... not just for your business, but for your trust.
Being invited into your financial life is something I never take lightly. Your money is tied to your values, your relationships, and some of the most meaningful moments in your life. I’m truly grateful that you allow me to walk alongside you in that.
This year, I had the privilege of supporting you through so many different life moments. Some were joyful, some were heavy. Many were a mix of both.
I was alongside you as you navigated the loss of loved ones, established roots in your new dream home, stepped away from work, cared for ill family members, and showed up generously for friends, family, and causes you care deeply about. I also saw you celebrate milestones, take meaningful trips with family, and use your resources to create memories and space to focus on what matters most.
Those moments are a powerful reminder that financial planning isn’t really about numbers on a page. It’s about helping you live your life with more clarity, comfort and confidence.
As I look ahead to the new year, I find myself thinking about intention. Some people choose resolutions, some choose a “word of the year,” and some simply hope for a little more ease or joy. For me, I’m quietly holding the word flourishas something I’m moving toward in 2026. I’m curious what the coming year holds for you, too. If you happen to have a word or intention for the year ahead and feel like sharing, I’d love to hear it.
This year, in lieu of client gifts, I donated five percent of Katapult's revenue to organizations that focus on some of the values that I see many of you living out every day... caregiving, health, food security, and community support.
I am grateful to be able to support:
- The Boston Food Pantry, operated by the American Red Cross of Massachusetts, strives to alleviate hunger and food insecurity among low-income communities throughout the Boston area. As one of the largest emergency pantries in Boston, it provides food to over 300,000 food insecure people annually, including through its mobile distribution program.
- Dana Farber Cancer Instituteprovides expert, compassionate care to children and adults with cancer while advancing the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, cure, and prevention of cancer and related diseases.
- American Heart Association is the nation's oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. This one hits home as I came close to losing my father to heart disease this year after losing my mom to the same only three years ago.
- Alzheimer's Family Caregiver Support Center Inc of Cape Cod provides psychosocial educational supports to families, professionals and individuals living with Alzheimer's and other dementia-related diseases.
- Jewish Family & Children's Service helps individuals and families build a strong foundation for resilience and well-being by providing a wide array of integrated social services. JF&CS empowers parents to develop healthy, responsive relationships with their young children; promotes independence for people with disabilities; creates paths to economic stability; helps older adults age with dignity; and supports mental health and emotional wellbeing during life’s challenges.
- Rosie's Place, founded in 1974 as the first shelter for women in the country, is a multi-service community center that offers women emergency shelter and meals, legal assistance, wellness care, housing and job search services, and more.
- New England Homes for the Deaf, founded in 1901, is a life plan community that offers continuum of care to Deaf, Deafblind and hard of hearing seniors, including independent living, rest home, skilled nursing community, Deaf senior centers, short-term rehabilitation services, respite care services and hospice care. NEHD's mission is to provide long term healthcare, housing, recreational activities and social support for Deaf, Deafblind and hard of hearing individuals in an accessible, barrier-free and culturally-sensitive environment with optimal communication and architectural resources. I was honored to be invited to join the board of NEHD last year, joining the ranks of two other renowned board members: Hellen Keller and Anne Sullivan.
Thank you again for being part of the Katapult community and for trusting me with something so personal and important. It continues to be a privilege to help you use your money in ways that support the life you want to live.
I wish you and your loved ones a happy, healthy New Year, and I look forward to continuing the journey together in 2026!
